Joe Caputo & Sons Fruit Market, which owns three grocery stores in the northwest suburbs, has acquired four former Dominick’s locations, the company announced.
The stores, located in Northbrook, Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, and Elk Grove Village, were taken over on January 25, with plans to renovate and reopen them under their new banner beginning this spring.
A 25-year-old, family-owned business, Joe Caputo & Sons Fruit Market is doubling its reach with the acquisition. The independent grocer is affiliated with Chicago-based supermarket network IGA, and currently operates stores in Palatine, Des Plaines and Algonquin.
