Kroger Co. credits its ability to earn the trust of its customers for a lot of its success these days.

That was the central theme when Lynn Marmer, Kroger’s group vice president of corporate affairs, traveled to Brazil to tell the Cincinnati-based supermarket giant’s story to an international retail audience on Wednesday.

Marmer spread the word about how the company operates during a speech to retailers from across the globe at the São Paulo Association of Supermarkets Conference. The conference’s theme was trust, and Marmer had plenty to say about the role of trust in Kroger’s success.
