Delhaize America is going to close its distribution center in Green Cove Springs and lay off 116 employees. The layoffs will be effective on or after Feb. 9.

Dehaize is Belgian company that owns several grocery chains in the United States, including Food Lion, Bottom Dollar Food, Harvey’s, Hannaford, Reid’s and Sweetbay.

But Bi-Lo Holdings, the Jacksonville-based parent of Winn-Dixie and Bi-Lo, announced in May that it was buying Harvey’s, Sweetbay and Reid’s for $265 million cash.
