Keene, NH – For the tenth year, employees at C&S Wholesale Grocers facilities joined millions of volunteers around the country to participate in Make A Difference Day, a nationwide day of service sponsored by USA Weekend with HandsOnNetwork, a division of the Points of Light Institute.
Working closely with local nonprofit organizations, C&S organized 21 community service projects, ranging from painting and landscaping to packing backpacks for kids at Food Banks. At the Company’s headquarter offices, 32 employees and family members volunteered during the morning to build shelves, clean the food storage area, and rake gardens at the Phoenix House in Dublin, NH, an agency of the New Hampshire Food Bank agency. “This was a special anniversary year for C&S and our employees,” said Gina Goff, Senior Director of Community Involvement. “Most of our volunteer projects helped groups that focus on hunger, an issue that is especially important to us.”
