Certified Angus Beef Brand Kosher Launched In New York

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Certified Angus Beef ® brand, through Golden West Food Group in Vernon, Calif., has added Glatt Kosher beef to its offerings. The product was launched this week in New York’s finest Kosher eateries, owned by the Prime Hospitality Group, making them the first Kosher restaurants to serve the Certified Angus Beef ® brand.

“This product extends our 35-year heritage of offering chefs and consumers the choice of premium beef,” says Mark Polzer, the brand’s vice president of business development. “We are pleased to partner with Golden West Food Group and Prime Hospitality to bring Certified Angus Beef ® brand Kosher to the table.”

The beef meets two levels of certification, allowing customers to offer the finest Kosher beef. First, it must receive Orthodox Union ( ) certification for Glatt Kosher. The beef also achieves the Certified Angus Beef  ® brand’s 10 quality standards for remarkable flavor, juiciness and tenderness.

“We are so excited to be the first Kosher establishment to be offering the Certified Angus Beef ® brand to our customers,” says Joey Allaham, owner of Prime Hospitality Group. “We pride ourselves on presenting our guests with the most innovative and delicious Kosher creations and now we are at the forefront of yet another groundbreaking change for the Kosher community.”

Patrons of the restaurant group’s The Prime Grill, Prime at the Bentley and Prime KO can now enjoy this new line of Kosher beef. They can also purchase the same, premium dry-aged beef cuts at the group’s Prime Butcher Baker store.
