Bottom Dollar Food expects to lay off 460 employees at its 13 New Jersey supermarkets as it closes all of its stores following a sale to larger grocery chain Aldi Inc., company officials confirmed Monday.

A warning notice filed with the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development shows that the layoffs will occur by year's end.

In the greater Mercer County area, there are three locations: South Broad Street in Hamilton, which opened March 2012; Route 130 in Bordentown Township, which opened April 2012; and Route 130 in East Windsor, which opened October 2013.
