With existing operations at several of the largest airports in the country, the partnership marks a poignant milestone for Basil Street as it expands into the aviation and travel industry.
Basil Street is scheduled to launch an APK in San Antonio International Airport in the coming weeks. Thereafter, airports slated for launch or in discussions, and where Prepango currently has vending contracts, include Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Cincinnati/North Kentucky International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport, and others. These high-volume, highly regulated locations are garnering significant attention given Basil Street APKs are a fully certified hot food solution, meeting all regulatory requirements by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL and EPA-approved).
Built on the premise of providing contactless and convenient food solutions, Basil Street has primarily focused its automated pizza kitchen (APK) locations in settings such as universities, and corporate manufacturing and business headquarters. With the expansion to the nation’s airport network, Basil Street will harness Prepango’s expansive relationships and existing agreements to deploy and operate APKs through a single partner filling the need for delicious and quick meals for travelers on the go.
