NEW YORK — Artisanal Brands, Inc., a marketer and distributor of the Artisanal Premium Cheese brand of cheeses and other specialty food products, is pleased to announce that the Company has begun work on a cheese pairing program with approximately 92 Hyatt Hotels. Furthermore, the Company announced that the pairing program and other marketing initiatives are driving an increase in the pipeline of prospective stores which Artisanal is currently in active discussions with. By cross-merchandising wine and beer products in retail stores using the 4 color-coded Artisanal CheeseClock™ merchandising system, consumers can easily pair wines and beers with the cheeses they selected from Artisanal’s offering of 16 different cheeses.
Pairing Program with Hyatt Hotels
Through the new program, Artisanal’s expanded line of American artisan cheeses will soon be shipped to 92 Hyatt locations for a new pairing program offering local cheeses to the hotel properties. Artisanal and Hyatt have worked together on this program to create complementary pairings of Artisanal branded cheeses with select wines and beers being offered by Hyatt.
Daniel W. Dowe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Artisanal commented, “We are very pleased to be working with Hyatt on this pairing program. Consumers have told us that an intimidating aspect of enjoying quality cheese is how to pair it with the appropriate beverage. With our roots in fine dining and our pairing expertise, Artisanal offers a full service approach that allows our partners to seamlessly introduce our branded cheeses to their customers. In our work with Hyatt on this pairing program, we match our cheeses according to the beers and wines the hotels stock, making the selection and enjoyment of the cheese course more accessible to the end consumer.
Increased Pipeline of Prospective Retail Locations
Mr. Dowe commented, “We are currently in over 130 stores. Following appearances at food industry trade shows hosted by Worldwide Wines of Connecticut and R&R Distributors of New Jersey, we’ve seen a significant increase in our pipeline of prospective retail outlets. Furthermore, our distributor KeHE added 18 new stores to our sales pipeline last week. Over the coming weeks, we will do more targeted cross-promotions of our cheeses to websites operated by wine and food industry publications and with targeted marketing of our products to new potential customers.”
