CINCINNATI — It was announced on Sunday that AdvancePierre Foods holds the number one spot in the Deloitte Cincinnati USA 100 ranking. The recognition comes just 14 months after Pierre Foods, Inc. merged with Advance Food Company, Inc. and Advance Brands, LLC to create AdvancePierre Foods.
"We are honored by this recognition, as the companies that combined to form AdvancePierre Foods all began as small, family-owned businesses," said Bill Toler, CEO of AdvancePierre Foods. "While this acknowledgement signifies our growth and success in the region, we are committed to preserving the quality and customer service that has been the tradition of each of the original companies since their founding."
For 28 years, the Deloitte Cincinnati USA 100 has acknowledged Cincinnati's top privately held businesses and their leaders. Deloitte is joined by The Cincinnati Enquirer, Great American Insurance Group and The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber in recognizing AdvancePierre Foods.
In September 2010, Cincinnati-based Pierre Foods, Inc. merged with Enid, Oklahoma-based Advance Food Company, Inc. and Advance Brands, LLC to create AdvancePierre Foods. In June 2011, AdvancePierre expanded once again with the acquisition of Portland, Maine-based Barber Foods.
"We are honored to be recognized as a leader in the Cincinnati business community," Toler continued. "It is through the hard-work and commitment of our more than 800 associates in Cincinnati and 4,500 associates nationwide, that we have achieved this level of success."
