Amazon Fresh now has a $299 annual membership fee, up from $99.
The huge fee increase — first announced in December and then delayed from June, to September, then October — was met with complaints on Twitter and in the comments sections of articles on the topic.
Of those who took to Twitter in protest was Jonathan Fay, who wrote, "I was willing to overpay on groceries for the convenience, but paying an extra $300 for the right to overpay is ridiculous!"
