AVONDALE, PA – To-Jo Mushrooms announced that its Culture Team recently donated a few hundred pounds of non-perishable food items to The Bridge Compassionate Ministry Center located in The Avon Grove Church of Nazarene. To support the effort Employees gathered non-perishable food items at the To-Jo corporate offices over the Holidays and during their annual holiday party.
To-Jo formed the Culture team in 2013 to help instill the company’s Core Values to all of its employees, and to look for ways to better serve its customers. The team is comprised of a cross-functional set of employees from all areas of the company. It focuses its efforts through a variety of channels including: special events, company gatherings, monthly newsletters and ongoing community projects.
Anthony D’Amico, To-Jo’s President added, “So proud of our team on the effort they put forward to support this new project. We are always looking for ways to reach out to the local community and we’ll continue to look for worthy causes like The Bridge to focus our efforts and support the community that contributes so much to our success.”
The Bridge is a combined effort of several area churches and community organizations which provides 30 – 50 families a week with much needed food, clothing, supplies and encouragement. This donation will help bolster their pantry and support their ongoing efforts to serve the community over the winter.
