Arroyo Grande, CA — Talley Farms announces their Fresh Harvest program. This program allows Central Coast consumers the opportunity to support the local economy and environment while enjoying the convenience of locally grown fruits and vegetables from a trusted source, Talley Farms.
“The Talley family decided to grow a larger variety of produce items for our fellow consumers throughout San Luis Obispo County so that more of us can enjoy the benefits of fresher, tastier produce and the convenience of locally grown, quality fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices,” said Andrea Chavez, Manager of Talley Farms Fresh Harvest.
To distribute Fresh Harvest boxes, Talley Farms is partnering with Miner’s Ace Hardware and Farm Supply Company stores throughout the Central Coast to provide convenient weekly pick up locations. Miner’s Ace Hardware is a family owned and operated business, like Talley Farms, and has been opened on the Central Coast since 1956. Farm Supply Company is another natural partner for Talley Farms because they are owned by farmers with a common mission to serve the Central Coast’s community.
To develop the Fresh Harvest brand, Talley Farms is working with Recipe Marketing, the only marketing agency on the Central Coast specializing in food and beverage marketing.
“Talley Farms chose Recipe Marketing to help us launch our new Fresh Harvest program because, after considering other firms, we thought Recipe was the most qualified to market quality produce and farming to local consumers. We value their knowledge of Central Coast consumers, extensive social media expertise and creativity,” said Chavez.
The Talley family has been farming on the Central Coast since 1948. Currently the family grows, packs and ships a variety of vegetables throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to farming, the family is known for Talley Vineyards, which started over 25 years ago. Talley Farms, Talley Vineyards and Talley Farms Fresh Harvest are owned and operated by third generation Talley family members.
“Talley Farms has been around for over 60 years so our job was to honor their tradition while creating a new brand. Fresh Harvest really is positioned for the benefit of today’s consumer lifestyle wants and needs,” said Frank Scotti, Principal, Creative Director of Recipe Marketing.
The majority of produce in the Talley Farms Fresh Harvest program will come directly from Talley Farms. To support local farmers and the local community Fresh Harvest will also include other Central Coast grower’s fruits and vegetables. Many of the Fresh Harvest items are being grown organically and all of the produce is farmed using Integrated Pest Management and sustainable agricultural methods.
