WENATCHEE, Wash. – It’s been one year since we received our certification in Bee Friendly Farming (BFF) through Pollinator Partnership in 2021.
BFF falls in line with Stemilt’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility by promoting, protecting, and preserving the health of bees and other pollinators such as butterflies and birds.
To be BFF certified, Stemilt planted over 400 acres of native wildflowers, bee forage, and made fresh water accessible which met the certification standard of having 3% of Stemilt’s owned acreage provide a habitat for pollinators. Implementing these cover crops has since helped sustain the life and wellbeing of our bees so we may continue working in harmony with these essential pollinators to grow World Famous Fruit.
