Settlement Reached In Utah Tainted Spinach Lawsuit

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah woman's federal lawsuit alleging she was disabled after eating spinach tainted with E. Coli has been settled during trial.

U.S. District Judge Bruce S. Jenkins dismissed the case Thursday, cutting short the trial in Salt Lake City.

Terms of the settlement weren't disclosed.

Chelsey Macey of Orem and her husband sued the California-based companies Mission Organics, Natural Selection Foods and Dole Food Co. in 2008.
