Yakima, WA. –It is with great pleasure that Sage Fruit Company announces its support of the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) and the national health campaign, Fruits & Veggies—More Matters®. Over the past 21 years, PBH has consistently worked to help consumers understand the importance of incorporating a variety of fruits and vegetables in their daily meals in order to better their health. The ‘all forms’ message has also been a consistent point of emphasis to consumers so that they know fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100% fruit and vegetable juice all matter.
The consumer-oriented resources PBH offers are a great compliment to Sage Fruit’s efforts. The Fruits & Veggies—More Matters website is a great resource for the industry to direct consumers to for tips, recipes, and meal planning tools. PBH also has a website geared towards children, ages 2-8, where they can have fun while learning about the benefits of fruits and vegetables.
“The Produce for Better Health Foundation has continued to make tremendous strides in delivering the message of how important fresh produce is in our daily lives. Also, the Fruits & Veggies – More Matters campaign is an extremely positive association for us, which is one of the reasons we have decided to fully support PBH,” says Kaci Komstadius, Social Media Director for Sage Fruit. “We feel that it is an important message that needs to be consistently delivered to the everyday consumer.”
“We are very excited and appreciative for the support from Sage Fruit Company,” Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., R.D., president and CEO of PBH, the nonprofit group behind the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters national health campaign. “PBH achieves success through the generous support of our donors and could not have accomplished what we have over the last 21 years without them!”
