Renowned Asia Business Entrepreneur Launches Fresh Produce-Focused Webinars for Latin American Exporters

LONDON, UK — Leading food industry consultancy deFossard Communications has announced the launch of a new Asia export-focused business webinars in collaboration with award-winning entrepreneur and Asia market expert Ed Holroyd Pearce for Latin American exporters seeking new markets.
Focusing on the opportunities that can be seized – and pitfalls that should be avoided – in China, Japan and South Korea, the webinars are designed for fresh produce companies interested in doing business beyond Europe and the Americas.
For produce exporters rocked by the uncertainty and instability caused by the Trump Administration’s on-off tariffs, the webinars will outline why Asian markets are – more than ever – an option worth looking at for producers and marketers in the Western Hemisphere.
But more than that, the webinars will detail why Asian markets can offer stable market alternatives in the ocean of chaos created since the Trump Presidency commenced in January 2025. According to the IFPA’s 2024 Produce Industry Report, Asia-Pacific dominates the global fresh fruits market, with China, India and Japan all helping to fuel demand. In fact, over 66% of revenue share in 2022 was generated in this region.
For exporters interested in the potential offered by Asia, but unsure on how – or where – to start, the webinars will examine existing and emerging opportunities, and product preferences across different countries.
They will also go into detail about some of the necessary technical knowledge required to export to these markets. How do you identify reputable business partners in the region? What permits are required? What are some of the common mistakes made by novice exporters to Asia and how can you avoid them?
Asia business entrepreneur Ed Holroyd Pearce will be the principal guide that takes attendees through the intricacies of working in and with different Asian countries, offering useful takes on the opportunities opened up by the current instability and providing expert opinion and the way to go about making them a reality.
Holroyd Pearce said: “Whether it is the first step in familiarising themselves with new potential markets or whether they have been thinking about Asia for some time, delegates to the webinars will learn a great deal about how to position themselves in markets such as China, South Korea and Japan that hold enormous potential for high quality fruit exports.
“We will identifying key opportunities that exist for these products in China, Japan and South Korea, and will be debunking some of the myths or misperceptions that arise when dealing with these markets.”
Claire de Fossard, founder of de Fossard Communications, said: “Ed is expert in advising businesses on how to make a successful entrance in Asian markets. By bringing Ed on board, de Fossard Communications will be able to boost our effectiveness in East Asia significantly. Some of the world’s most dynamic economies are located in East Asia. With free trade agreements like CPTPP opening up markets and increasing competition, now is the time for Latin American fresh produce producers to look over the Pacific to new consumer markets to exploit in Asia.”
