Pura Vida Farms Selects New VP Of East Coast Sales

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Pura Vida Farms, nationwide pineapple importer and grower and shipper of melon products, today announces the selection of Mike Martori as the Vice President of East Coast Sales. Martori joined the Pura Vida team on December 1, 2012 and will oversee their expanding eastern watermelon program as well as the pineapple import program through Costa Rica. With a 100-year family legacy and background in fresh produce, Martori brings over 9 years of experience with growing and sales to the Pura Vida team. Martori will be based in Pura Vida’s Scottsdale, AZ office, but will also spend time working in the new Moultrie, GA office and visiting their east coast growers across six states.
“I am looking forward to sharing the expansion of our watermelon program with our customers,” Martori said. “We are building a really good network of farms from Florida to Delaware that are going to bring us some of the best varieties at their peak of season. Our eastern program is really expanding and it’s exciting to be a part of.”
Martori says his vision is to create a network of small farms with seasonal production in order to offer a continuity of supply that can be shipped reliably and economically for the entire domestic season, open to end. He is also eager to work with Pura Vida’s growers in Costa Rica in helping to effectively import their gold pineapples across the U.S.
