PrimusGFS v. 2.1 Trainings Announced

PrimusLabs is pleased to announce that it has opened registration for its latest trainings on the newly benchmarked PrimusGFS Version 2.1 audit scheme. Currently, two sets of trainings are planned.

• The first will be held in Salinas, California. The dates for the Salinas trainings are as follows: April 28 – 29: HACCP; April 30 – May 2: PrimusGFS Version 2.1; and May 3: PrimusGFS Auditor Training. Those trainings will be held at the Salinas Elks Lodge, 614 Airport Blvd., Salinas, CA 93905.

• The second set of trainings will be held in Orlando, Florida. The dates for the Orlando trainings are as follows: May 12 – 13: HACCP; May 14 – 16: PrimusGFS Version 2.1. May 17: PrimusGFS Auditor Training. Those trainings will be held at the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, 2000 Hotel Plaza Blvd., Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.

Significant changes have been made to the PrimusGFS Version 2.1 from the previous Version 1.6. Changes relevant to auditees include new requirements for planting schedules and production records. Many new checklist questions have been added, and additions to the food security section include product testing requirements based only on risk analysis. Finally, significant changes have been made with respect to harvest crew audits.

Additionally, changes relevant for auditors have implemented regarding certified scopes, and the work experiences and requirements for auditors.
