Posie Packer announces that is has developed a new website www.producebaglabeler.com to reflect the response to the Posie Packer produce bag labeling machine.
Food safety and traceability are key issues in today’s worldwide produce industry. To enhance food safety, more and more produce items are being packed in poly bags – low cost and environmentally friendly. However, traceability information is time sensitive. Labels, either paper or plastic, imprinted with this information in a human readable form, offer the greatest flexibility and the lowest cost method to transmit traceability information on the bags to the consumer. The problem has been on how to get this label on the poly bag profitably. Manual application is costly and will continue to increase. The produce bag-labeling machine, can apply labels up to 5 times faster than manual application, as well as the ability to apply 2 labels per cycle on wicketed or non wicketed poly bags (plain, gusseted, zip lock). Labor costs associated with labeling can be reduced up to 90%.
The website has been designed to not only provide information on the poly bag-labeling machine, but could be used as a resource for current information on food safety, traceability and other topics dealing with produce.
- Access to a database of over 75 traceability software providers
- Free assessment of how your bags, labels and label location will run on the machine and the potential ROI available
- Dealer network – inquiries invited
- Poly bag suppliers
