The new Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market will provide high quality, fresh produce to customers within a 500-mile radius. With a state of the art cold chain management system in place, the facility has the ability to maintain temperature effectively, thereby supplying customers of the PWPM with fresher products with a longer shelf life.

Officially the current market, located on South Galloway Street, will close at 4:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 2, 2011. The new Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market and will open in its new location at 6700 Essington Avenue on Sunday June 5, 2011. The Merchants of PWPM will proudly welcome customers to the first and largest fully refrigerated wholesale produce market in the world at 10:00 a.m. on that morning.
