DENVER —The United States Potato Board (USPB) announces nominations are now open for new Board Members for the 2014-2017 term. Sixty-three members will be elected or re-elected to fill open seats and the seats of outgoing Board Members who are completing their second three-year term in March 2014.
The USPB is the nation’s potato marketing organization. Positioned as the “catalyst for positive change,” the USPB is the central organizing force in implementing programs increasing demand for potatoes and potato products. The USPB provides the ideas, information, tools and inspiration for the industry to unite in achieving common goals.
Anchoring the USPB’s grower-directed programs is a strong foundation of market and consumer research and analysis, critical information used to understand the business environment for potatoes.
All state potato organizations have received the information and materials to begin the process of seeking and nominating interested growers. All growers will be seated on the Board at the 2014 Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, CO, March 12-13, 2014.
