New York, NY — PRODUCE BUSINESS magazine and the Eastern Produce Council announce a celebration of all things fresh in produce with its fourth annual New York Produce Show and Conference, held from December 10 – 13, 2013 at Pier 94 (54th Street and West Side Highway).
In the city that never sleeps, members of the press and produce industry professionals will get the fresh inside scoop on the “industry that never sleeps.”
The trade show’s schedule consists of discussion panels, over 400 exhibitors, chef demonstrations and culinary student education, tours to retailers, wholesalers, foodservice distributors and urban farms — most importantly an unparalleled networking and entertainment opportunities.
The Perishable Pundit’s Jim Prevor kicks off the show with an opening keynote breakfast and features the Northeast region’s top retail “Thought Leaders.”
Renowned chefs, such as David Burke, Kerry Heffernan and Alain DeCoster, capitalize on the cornucopia of tastes, textures and flavor profiles to whip up creative dishes to delight attendees on the show floor.
Researchers from such luminary institutions as Cornell, University of Connecticut, St. Joseph’s, Rutgers and Italy’s University of Gastronomic Sciences will release their latest data on a range of issues including local, organic, and sustainability initiatives.
The IDEATION FRESH Foodservice Forum is back by popular demand and held at the Hilton on Thursday, December 12th. Attendees will learn how the industry is committed to finding ways to boost fresh produce usage in foodservice.
Capping off the conference, attendees will have a unique opportunity to tour the regional produce industry, ranging from the Hunts Point Terminal Market and the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market.
