New Point Of Sale Materials Available To Grow Your Mango Business

Orlando, Fla. – The National Mango Board (NMB) recently created new point of sale (POS) materials for 2013 to help retail partners grow their mango business, by sharing mango information with their shoppers. The NMB offers a variety of POS materials on their retail section at www.mango.org to leap past one of the biggest barriers to growing mango sales: education.
Research shows that mangos are not usually on shoppers’ lists and the main barriers to purchase are that shoppers do not know how to cut, select and use mangos in their home kitchens. “Our new POS materials for 2013 will encourage shoppers to add mangos to their everyday menus with easy, familiar usage ideas,” said NMB Director of Marketing Megan McKenna. “Many of the recipes featured on these materials will do just that.”
New header card and tear pad sets feature a selection of seasonal favorites:
- Mango and Avocado Salsa
- Fresh and Easy Mango Salad
- Mango and Maple Oatmeal
- Grilled Mango with Vanilla Ice Cream
- Tropical Mango S’Mores
- Mango Cranberry Sauce
These six new recipe cards will supplement the NMB’s outstanding collection of educational POS materials, which includes how to cut, selection and ripening, and mango nutrition messaging. In addition to the new recipe header cards and tear pads, the NMB also developed a new 22” x 28” poster, which features mango cutting, selection and ripening messaging.
