A U.S. bankruptcy court has approved the sale of an Arizona greenhouse grower to NatureSweet, Ltd., a San Antonio-based company specializing in niche tomatoes, Nature Sweet CEO Bryant Ambelang said Thursday.
NatureSweet subsidiary Zona Acquisition Co. LLC. is acquiring assets of EuroFresh Farms through a so-called 363 sale, which allows a company that has filed for bankruptcy to market its assets to bidders.
EuroFresh had been employing about 1,100 workers in Willcox and Snowflake, Ariz.
