National Mango Board To Host Domestic Industry Outreach Meeting In South Florida

Orlando, Fla – The National Mango Board (NMB) travels throughout the year to the top mango importing port cities in the United States. The NMB will meet face-to-face with importers, wholesalers, and others who handle mangos in the U.S to share details about mango programs updates and results. The next industry outreach meetings will take place July 15, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, FL and July 16, 2014 in Miami, FL.

During these meetings, the NMB will also discuss the Ripe and Ready to Eat Mango Initiative with ripening expert Dennis Kihlstadius from Produce Technical Services. Kihlstadius will share his findings and recommendations for stores and distribution centers from extensive testing of fruit temperature throughout the distribution system. An open forum for questions and answers will be provided.
