Orlando, Fla. – Throughout the year The National Mango Board (NMB) travels to the top mango importing port cities in the United States to meet face-to-face with importers, wholesalers, and others who handle mangos in the U.S and share details about mango programs updates and results. The next industry outreach meeting will take place May 1, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA.
The NMB meetings are tailored to the needs and interests of industry members in order to improve mango quality and superiority in the U.S. marketplace to help increase consumption. The meetings create the opportunity to address industry related topics of interest and provide networking opportunities. During the meeting in Los Angeles, the NMB staff will also be discussing the Ripe and Ready to Eat Mango Initiative with ripening expert, Dennis Kihlstadius from Produce Technical Services.
There will be a question and answer session following the presentation. Lunch will be provided. Please contact Kristine Concepción, Director of Industry Relations at the NMB, by calling 877/MANGOS1, ext. 111 or via email at kconcepcion@mango.org.
