Orlando, FL. –The National Mango Board (NMB) travels to the top mango importing port cities allowing the NMB to meet face-to-face with importers, wholesalers and others who handle mangos in the U.S. to share details about programs and results. Upcoming industry outreach meetings include Pompano Beach/Fort Lauderdale and Miami, FL, and McAllen, TX.
The NMB’s outreach meetings are designed to provide updates on Marketing, Research and Industry Relations programs, as well as share information about opportunities to shape the NMB’s future directions with Board nominations. In addition, this meeting creates spaces for critical conversation about how the NMB is working with the mango industry to improve mango quality and safety.
There will be a question and answer session following the presentation. Lunch will be provided. Please contact Marilda Peele at the NMB by calling 877/MANGOS1, ext. 106 or via email at mpeele@mango.org.

About National Mango Board
The National Mango Board is a national promotion and research organization, which is supported by assessments from both domestic and imported mangos. The board was designed to drive awareness and consumption of fresh mangos in the U.S. One cup of mango is only 100 calories, an excellent source of vitamins A and C, a good source of fiber and an amazing source of tropical flavor.
Mango availability per capita has increased 32 percent since 2005 to an estimated 2.47 pounds per year in 2012. Mango import volume for 2012 was 804 million pounds. Learn more at www.mango.org.
