Burlington, MA – The NEPC Board of Directors and Expo Committee are proud to announce that Pedro Martinez, MLB All-Star, will speak at the NEPC Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo Keynote Breakfast. Pedro Martinez is a retired 18 year right-handed pitcher of major league baseball. Pedro was an eight time MLB All-Star, three time CY-Young Award winner, and three time TSN Pitcher of the Year. Over his outstanding career, Pedro started an impressive 409 games and amassed 3,154 strikeouts against 760 walks. This places Pedro on a small list of 16 pitchers to throw over 3,000 strikeouts. Pedro played a critical role in the Red Sox 2004 World Series Championship, bringing back the title to Boston after an 86 year drought. On July 26, 2015, Pedro was honored with his induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. We are pleased that Pedro will part of our Keynote Breakfast in addition to a meet and greet on the expo show floor.
Additionally, the Board announces Brian Numainville, an accomplished consultant and leading expert on consumer-centered marketing research a food industry expert, as the moderator for the consumer panel on Wednesday Sept. 13th at the Keynote Breakfast. You will take home insight on consumer purchasing habits including the impact of social media and apps, online shopping, locally grown, etc. and as a result offer a better shopping experience and product to your consumers.
