Mission Produce Hires Ben Barnard As New Director Of FDC Operations

Mission Produce Inc., Oxnard CA, has announced the hiring of Ben Barnard as their new Director of FDC Operations. Mr. Barnard joined Mission in late October, 2013.

After graduating from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo in 2009, Ben went to work for Naturipe Farms in the product management division where he gained experience in fruit allocation, growing regions and sales.  Barnard was responsible for the distribution of raspberries, blackberries and strawberries throughout FDC's across the U.S., including imports from South America and Mexico.

After a few years working for Naturipe, Ben accepted a position with Taylor Farms in 2011 as the Director of Operations for regional sourcing where his duties included transportation and cooler operations as well as complete property, personnel and asset management for all of the shipping facilities.

Vice President of Distribution and Logistics, Jeremy Currier said, "We are excited to bring Ben onboard as his prior work experience will allow him to fulfill the duties required to manage all 8 Mission North American FDC's."
