Oxnard, California – Oxnard-based Mission Produce today announced that it has hired Gwendolyn Jackimek as its wholesale sales manager.

Jackimek comes to Mission after spending 12 years in fresh fruit sales with Dole Fresh Fruit, where she was the district sales manager responsible for key accounts in tropical sales. She managed fruit allocation for all sales in pineapples and bananas in the Western half of the United States, and maintained wholesale market sales in that territory. In her role at Mission, she will be responsible for creating and driving strategy to service wholesale customers at the company. A native of Chicago, Jackimek has a degree in Business Marketing from Illinois State University.

According to Patrick Cortes, Mission’s Director of Sales, “Gwen’s depth of experience in fresh fruit sales, as well as her background in working with national accounts, position her well as Mission continues to grow in the avocado category. She has developed great relationships in the industry, and brings strong understanding of what it takes to be successful in this business.”

Jackimek states, “I am very excited about the opportunity that Mission presented. I am really looking forward to furthering my career at a company that is on a heavy growth curve. Coming into Mission, I knew a lot about the company, and have gotten a lot of positive feedback from industry peers on the move. Mission is a strong company with an excellent reputation and high quality standards, and I am excited about to be a part of its growth.”
