SALINAS, Calif. Feb. 8, 2010 Mann Packing Company is increasing consumer awareness nationwide for its cleaned and ready to eat fresh vegetables by participating in a food and nutrition showcase for national media outlets.
The event, held Feb. 4 in New York City, brought food and nutrition writers from magazines, TV and newspapers together to sample food and beverage products focused on health and wellness.
Mann showcased multiple items including Snacks on the Go, sweet potato cubes and spears, butternut squash as well as its signature vegetable Broccolini.
As we expand distribution nationally its important that we share information about our products with third-party influencers, such as food writers, who guide shoppers to our products in store, said Lorri Koster, vice president of marketing. We are working with our retail partners to increase awareness for Mann products and drive sales of the cut-veg category overall.
By participating in the food showcase event, Mann hopes to see news and information about its products in newspapers, magazines and featured in cooking segments on TV food shows.
