Mann Packing Aims To Sizzle Up Summer Slaw Sales

SALINAS, Calif. – Shoppers can enjoy savings while they toss their favorite summer salads with Mann Packing’s annual Summer Slaw Spectacular on-pack promotion.
More than 200,000 IRCs will be applied to packages of Mann's Broccoli Cole Slaw and the new Rainbow Salad™ blend, starting June 14. Consumers will save $1 with the purchase of any two (2) of these items (U.S. only).
This is one of Mann’s most successful promotions historically, with a 19 percent redemption rate last year, said Elena Hernandez, marketing and communication specialist.
To further support summer sales and the launch of the reformulated Rainbow Salad™ blend, as well as new crinkle-cut sweet potato fries, Mann participated in the BlogHer Food ’12 conference, June 8-9 in Seattle.
More than 500 influential food and lifestyle bloggers, writers, authors and photographers attended the two-day conference that featured interactive panel discussions, keynote interviews and designated times for sponsor sampling and demonstrations.
“Bloggers are powerful marketers for brands,” Hernandez said. “Their words create a social echo, because their message is amplified to their social graph and beyond. BlogHer Food was a great opportunity for us to establish relationships directly with these key influencers, as well as the chance for them to sample fresh vegetables direct from California – the sugar snap peas were a huge hit!”
