SALINAS, Calif. – Mann Packing hired Dan Welk as the new regional business manager for the East coast.
Welk is a produce industry veteran having previously held strategic sales positions with Fresh Del Monte Produce and Del Monte Foods, Earthbound Farm, Zespri International and Dole Food Company.
Welk will manage the Eastern seaboard region of the country, from Maine to Miami, and will report to Jeff Freeman, vice president of retail sales. His role will include managing traditional regional and local retail accounts as well as national accounts.
“Dan brings to Mann Packing a wealth of produce knowledge and experience,” Freeman said. “He has developed a deep knowledge of the markets and customers in his region and we look forward to having him on board.”
A graduate of Seton Hall University, Welk lives in Naples, Fla., with his wife Sally.
