CARPINTERIA, Calif. — Hollandia Produce, North America’s largest hydroponic greenhouse grower of living lettuce and leafy greens, today announced it has earned superior ratings for its PrimusGFS certification audit, recently conducted by Primus Laboratories.
The Primus audit covered various stages of Hollandia Produce’s greenhouse operation, from propagation to its post-harvest packing process and assessed the company’s compliance in three key areas: Food Safety Management, Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). Hollandia Produce received a blended compliance rating of 98 percent for its Oxnard and Carpinteria facilities.

PrimusGFS is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized audit scheme for the certification of produce sector products – from growing operations to minimally processed (fresh-cut) produce products.
