MONTEREY, CA (August 5, 2010) – PRO*ACT, America's leading fresh produce supplier to the foodservice industry, has announced that Harvill’s Produce, Orlando, Florida, has joined the company’s national distribution network.
Harvill’s Produce, founded in 1949, is an independently owned and locally operated company now led by second-generation owner and President Ernie Harvill. Three generations of Harvill family members are involved in the company’s day-to-day operations.
Harvill services customers in a 70-mile radius of Orlando, and plans to begin construction in late 2010 or early 2011 on a new distribution facility. “We’re growing and expanding. Becoming part of PRO*ACT will help take our company to the next level,” Harvill said. “The purchasing programs, technology, food safety systems and marketing support will bring real benefits to our customers.”
