Nashville, TN – President of Harvest Sensations® and Center for Growing Talent by PMA board member Doug Ranno’s song, Part of Me, hit the top of Cash Box Magazine’s Traditional Country Music Chart in May and now he is heading to Nashville to play during the CMA Music Festival.
Doug Ranno is a farming industry veteran who has been a senior manager for companies like Raleys, Chiquita, Green Giant and Wild Oats. He is also known as the founding member of Colorful Harvest, a business in which he sold his shares in 2013. Now he is the president of Harvest Sensations®, a coast to coast fresh produce business with state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles and Miami, best known for asparagus, fresh herbs, snow/snap peas, beans, innovative organics and amazing specialty produce from around the world.
“Music has always been and always will be a part of my life. I have been writing music now for more than 30 years. Some people like to play golf or jog, I like to bang on guitar strings and compose tunes, I really think that music has made me a better business person and keeps me centered,” Ranno said.
In 2014, Ranno recorded an album called The Musical Harvester as a BMI® artist with a group of well-seasoned musicians he calls, “The Harvesting Crew.” One of his original songs on that album, Part of Me, recently made it to #1 on Cashbox® and Record World’s® Traditional Country music charts.
In celebration of his recent #1 song, Ranno is headed to Nashville for a couple of showcase appearances during one of country music’s biggest weekends of the year, the CMA Music Festival. The first of his acoustic performances will be Friday, June 10th at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt at 5:00pm. Then on Saturday, June 11th at 11:00am, he will be appearing on The Nashville Jukebox Show.
Ranno has also supported various charities with his music and Musical Harvest guitars such as Ag Education , The Migrant Farm Workers Foundation, Nashville Lifting Lives, We are Building Lives charity for homeless veterans, Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FANN) and many more. He will be working on future charity music projects as well while in Nashville.
“My goal each year is to find some way to use my love of music to give back to charities that are really focused on helping others—trying to improve the world one life at a time!” Ranno stated.
Ranno’s album, The Musical Harvester, is available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital music stores.
