Greener Fields Together Supports Farm Aid 2014

MONTEREY, CA  – Greener Fields Together, the sustainability and local produce initiative created by PRO*ACT, a produce supply-chain management company, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Farm Aid 2014. As an official sponsor, Greener Fields Together joins host musicians Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, along with numerous other recording artists, to raise awareness and funds for America’s family-owned farms and help grow the “Good Food Movement.” This year’s event takes place Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh, N.C.

Greener Fields Together will once again participate in the event’s HOMEGROWN Village. Within the Village, the HOMEGROWN Stage features live music as well as artist and farmer interviews; the HOMEGROWN Skills Tent provides a range of local agrarian and homesteading skills presentations; and additional Village exhibitors invite concert goers to engage in all kinds of educational hands-on food and farm activities to help them learn about how to protect the land and water, grow the economy, and support the Good Food Movement. Additionally, Greener Fields Together, in partnership with local purveyor Foster-Caviness, will be donating produce from local farmers for the artist backstage catering venue as well as HOMEGROWN Concessions.
