A new farm is up and running in South Florida with the goal to produce 700,000 pounds of leafy greens each year with no soil.
Green and red romaine, spinach, kale, wild rocket arugula, salad arugula, a southern greens mix and an Asian blend are among Green Life Farms’ current roster of crops. The hydroponic farm west of Boynton Beach harvested its first crop during the summer and celebrated its grand opening Nov. 7.
Manager and head grower Gregory Graft spoke about what made the farm unique.
