Salinas, CA — After winning PMA’s Sensory Experience Contest at the Fresh Summit Convention & Expo in 2015 for their Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls, Green Giant™ Fresh has once again been named a finalist in this years’ competition. Their new Cauliflower Crumbles® “Fried Rice” Blend was used in the development of an eggroll recipe, which will be one of 10 dishes tasted by a panel of judges comprised of both children and adults.
Some of the criteria outlined for this contest include if the recipe is produce-centric, innovative, visually appealing and kid-friendly. Of course, the heath and nutritional value of the dishes are considered as well.

We believe these new items will grow category sales and consumer interest at retail in the same way our original Cauliflower Crumbles have.”
Using their new Fried Rice product, Green Giant Fresh developed their tasty eggroll recipe to meet the criterion for this competition. It’s easy to make, kid-friendly and uses an ingredient that effectively swaps out rice with Cauliflower Crumbles…but no one will ever know! It’s equally tasty and more nutritious.
