Green BEAN Delivery Enters The St. Louis Local Produce Scene

There is now, absolutely, no excuse not to eat your fruits and vegetables.

Green BEAN Delivery, an Indiana-based company, has set up shop in the St. Louis area, and with a few clicks on its website, customers can have a weekly or biweekly infusion of produce whisked to their doorsteps. No trip to the store necessary.

The company, which now has operations in 10 cities, emphasizes locally grown produce but also distributes national brands, offering something that other subscription-style produce businesses don’t.

“We want the focus to be on local farmers and artisans, and we want the brands we carry to be representative of the community,” said Matt Ewer, a farmer who launched the company in Indianapolis in 2007. “But we have bananas and pineapples.”
