Grape Commission Hires Vice President Of Communications

Fresno, CA – The California Table Grape Commission recently hired Jeff Cardinale as the vice president of communications to handle consumer education, health outreach, and media communications for the grower-based organization.

“We are thrilled that Jeff has joined the team,” said Kathleen Nave, president of the commission. “Jeff’s work with media in both the public and private sectors provides a level of professional experience that will benefit the state’s fresh grape growers in the years ahead.”

Jeff comes to the commission with an extensive background in media and public relations. Jeff worked in television news for 15 years in markets from Fresno to San Francisco and is a five-time Emmy award winning news producer and executive producer. Jeff also was hired as the first civilian public information officer in the 100-year history of the Fresno Police Department where he launched a national television show dedicated to the department’s Traffic Enforcement Bureau and created the department’s social media pages.

Jeff joined the commission on March 1 and has already begun working on the commission’s plans for the 2013 season which include more healthy ideas featuring Grapes from California as the “One Ingredient that Can Change Everything” when it comes to snacking and mealtime planning.
