Gills Onions Announces Addition To Sales Team

Oxnard, CA – Gills Onions, a California-based market leader in fresh-cut onions, announces today the addition of new hire, Teri Trost, Midwest Regional Manager, to the company’s Sales team. Trost joined the Gills Onions team in September 2013.

Trost has over 30 years of experience in foodservice sales management, customer service and marketing that includes new channel and new account development, as well as key account management. Trost joins the Gills Onions team after working with the company through her previous position at Fresh Connect. During her time at Fresh Connect, which began in 2007, Trost served as the Senior Manager in Foodservice Sales. Prior to her employment at Fresh Connect, Trost worked with companies such as Earthbound Farms, Fresh Network NMS, Coronet Foods, Custom Cuts and Life Force Foods. In these positions, Trost has overseen initiatives in Sales and Marketing, New Product Development, Corporate Sanitation, National Client Training programs and Organic programs, among many others. Trost also has experience in supervising staffs of more than 50 employees. Before entering the produce industry, Trost owned a catering business where she specialized in large events and ethnic weddings.  In her role, Teri will focus on helping Gills Onions customers build their fresh-cut onion category sales and profits, via training, food show support, and innovative promotional programs.  Teri will assist with the management of accounts both at the corporate and division level, and will interface with operations and internal sales, as part of our total touch customer service program.
