Orlando, FL—Full Tilt Marketing, a full service marketing agency specializing in fresh produce, is proud to partner with national food bloggers on a cookbook promotion that celebrates the whole food, slow food movement while giving back to the food community through donations to local food banks.
September is National Hunger Action Month and supports raising awareness of Hunger in America. Cookbook organizers, Christine Pittman of Cook The Story and Jennifer Dempsey of Mother Thyme called on help from more than 30 of their blogging peers to create a cookbook that celebrates the use of fresh, affordable foods in slow cooker recipes. The publication titled Where Slow Food and Whole Food Meet: Healthy Slow Cooker Dinners From Our Kitchens to Yours will be available September 8th and is expected to retail for approximately $20, with all proceeds from the sale donated to the Food Bank of Central Florida.
With the help of Full Tilt Marketing, the bloggers are engaging both sponsors and food banks around the country to support Hunger Action Month and raise funds to support the Food Bank of Central Florida and more than a dozen other food banks around the country. To participate, companies are asked to provide a $1000 sponsorship fee and make a food or monetary donation to a food bank of their choice.
Melinda Goodman, Managing Partner of FullTilt commented, “When we work in the food industry and promote the sale and marketing of food, it can be shocking to consider that food insecurity impacts approximately 50 million people each year and that number is growing.” Goodman continued, “This is a small thing we can do to get consumers thinking more about hunger and how they can give back to those in need.”
In support of program, FullTilt and the food bloggers will be hosting social media events, giveaways and various public relations initiatives to promote not only the sale of the books, but donations associated with the e-book downloads.
Christine Pittman the voice of the Cook the Story blog had this to say, “As part of my blog, I prepare beautiful food every day. I go to my pantry which is well stocked and I go to my grocery store without worrying about my budget – I want to remind my followers and consumers all over the U.S. that this isn’t the case for everyone and even the smallest contribution can make a difference.”
Recipes featured in the cookbook include a variety of fresh ingredients including potatoes, carrots, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, garlic and more. To become a sponsor or learn more, contact Melinda Goodman at 414-967-5755 or email melinda@fulltiltmarketing.com
