FirstFruits Of Washington Hires New Marketing Manager

YAKIMA, Wash. – FirstFruits Marketing of Washington has announced a new marketing manager, Tim Corkill, to head up marketing efforts for the western region.
Corkill has an extensive background with 25 years of experience in the produce industry. His venture into produce began at Vons Grocery Company where he advanced to produce manager, overseeing product merchandising and category management during his seven-year tenure. Corkill then continued into marketing and spent the last 18 years in marketing management roles at Fresh Western- River Ranch, Inc., California Table Grape Commission and Pear Bureau Northwest.
“We are very excited to have Tim join our team; his years of experience in the produce industry are a valuable asset and he brings a great understanding of retail produce sales and marketing,” said Keith Matthews, CEO of FirstFruits Marketing of Washington.
Most recently, as the marketing manager at Pear Bureau Northwest, Corkill managed key accounts and also executed several programs including the category development program as well as marketing programs for organic, Hispanic, school foodservice and military sectors. During his 11-year tenure at the Pear Bureau, Corkill helped to effectively establish the organization as being one of the most progressive marketing orders in the trade and successfully created increased growth for the category to the market areas and accounts assigned.

Corkill and his wife live in San Diego, CA and have two children.
