Edward O'Malley, President & CEO of Datepac, the largest date packer in the U.S., has announced the addition of two key executives to the Datepac management team. “I am pleased to have two seasoned professionals of their caliber join our growing organization.”
John Haydock was named as Vice-President of Global Sales. Mr. O’Malley commented that, “John brings tremendous professional sales experience to Datepac. He will be leading our global sales efforts during the significant growth phase we are in. John will enhance and expand our position as the industry leader in the date category”
John was recently Senior Vice-President of Sales with Mann Packing in Salinas, a $300 million grower/packer/shipper of fresh vegetables. Prior to that, John was Senior Vice-President of Sales for Healthy Food Holdings, a $250 million company with brands such as YoCrunch and Breyer’s Yogurt and Van’s waffles. Previously he was Senior Vice-President of Sales with White Wave Foods, a $1.3 billion dairy company selling Horizon Organic, Silk and International Delight brands. John also held sales management positions with Unilever and Kraft Foods spanning 20 years.
Dean White was also named as Vice-President of Operations. Mr. O’Malley indicated that, “Datepac has been rapidly expanding capacity over the past few years and has significant capital investments planned in the coming years. Dean brings 20 years of solid experience in operations to Datepac and will lead our efforts to set the industry standards for quality, technological innovation and customer service.”
Dean was previously Vice-President of Operations for Cal Pacific Specialty Foods, a leading strawberry processing company. Dean was previously Director of Operations for Mars, Inc. where he was responsible for operations at a plant in California. He also held a variety of executive positions in production operations with Frito-Lay over a 10 year period. Dean started with H&M Foods Systems, a fresh meat processor, in production, quality control and food safety. “Dean brings a wealth of food production experience to Datepac which will ensure our customers continue to receive the quality and service they expect.”
