Crunch Pak To Feature New ‘Flavorz’ Item At United Fresh

CASHMERE, Wash. — Crunch Pak, the fresh sliced apple specialist, will show off its university spirit at United Fresh 2013 with the launch of Blue Raspberry FlavorZ™ . Created in conjunction with Disney Consumer Products, the launch of Blue Raspberry Flavorz™ coincides with the release of the latest movie from Disney·Pixar, Monsters University, opening in theaters June 21.

Crunch Pak introduced Flavorz™ in 2012 with three flavors developed with input from kids ages 4-8:  Peach/mango are in packages with Disney characters Phineas & Ferb, grape features Mickey and friends and strawberry vanilla cream packages carry the Disney Princess characters. Packages of new Blue Raspberry FlavorZ™ will feature Sulley and Mike from Monsters University.

“Our research and development department is constantly working on new product and package innovation to meet the needs of consumers of all ages,” said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Our goal is to bring the fun and magic of Disney-Pixar characters to the healthy snacking category.”

Crunch Pak will feature its full line of Disney products as part of the company’s sponsorship of the convention’s general session by offering fresh product samples on each table.
“We look forward to feedback from the general session attendees on our portfolio of Disney items,” Freytag said.  “We introduced Flavorz last year at the conference and this year we will launch Blue Raspberry.”

Crunch Pak’s FlavorZ™ is a finalist for the 2013 New Fruit Product/New Packaging award at United Fresh, along with the company’s other new item, Salad KitZ™.
