CASHMERE, Wash. — Crunch Pak is participating with the NBA in a mobile marketing tour that will visit 40 Walmart stores in four cities during March and April.

The NBA FIT Van Tour, visiting Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Memphis, is an interactive experience for fans that includes basketball-shooting contests, giveaways and more.

This is the first year Crunch Pak is participating with the NBA Fit Tour having rolled out the company’s Fit Snackers in 2014.  Fit Snackers are healthy snack packs that contain sliced fresh apples, cheese and pretzels and feature several of the NBA’s most popular players such as John Wall, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant on the labels. The suggested retail price is $2.49; Fit Snackers are available at Walmart stores nationwide.

"Professional athletes represent an active lifestyle as they embody aspirational attributes like responsibility and discipline," said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Being able to pair these athletes with fresh produce is a winning combination."

The relationship between the NBA and Crunch Pak is also an effort to engage active kids who need better choices in the healthy snacks category.

"We want to encourage kids of all ages to eat more fruits and vegetables," said Freytag. "NBA Fit Snackers are portable; they're easy to toss into a bag and go; and they make healthy eating fun and appealing."
