Crunch Pak Goes Back Stage At The Oscars

CASHMERE, Wash. — Crunch Pak, the industry leader in fresh sliced apples, was backstage at the Oscars.

The production staff of the 84th Annual Academy Awards contacted the company in early February asking if it would donate product for the show’s dressing rooms for the host, presenters, nominees and performers, as well as its executive and production offices.

“The request was a huge surprise and we were happy to provide our products,” said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “The show’s production coordinator said they regularly buy our products and wanted to have something healthy to snack on backstage during the show.”

Crunch Pak shipped 32 boxes to the Hollywood & Highland Center – enough to feed more than 200 presenters and 20 production and executive staff. Crunch Pak plans to work with the production company on additional award shows in the future.

“It was fun to watch the show and know our products were in the hands of the stars,” Freytag said. “Our products are ideal for how Americans eat today – even the most famous Americans.”
