Country Fresh Mushroom Company Appoints New President & COO

Toughkenamon, PA – Country Fresh Mushroom Co. announced the hiring of Jeff Busch as President and Chief Operating Officer, who will replace Jim Howard.

Ed Leo, Country Fresh Chairman & CEO said that he, his Board of Directors and senior management are all very pleased that Jeff agreed to join the company.  As President and Chief Operating Officer, Jeff will take over the reins from Jim Howard who very capably helped grow Country Fresh and has decided to move back to Illinois to spend more time with his family.  The board believes that Jeff is an ideal fit with the culture of the company and his enthusiasm and experience will guide the company as it continues to move forward.

Mr. Busch is as 23 year veteran of the produce industry.  He most recently held the position of President of Caruso Inc. in Cincinnati, OH.  Prior to Caruso he has held sales and operational positions with Taylor Farms, DiMare Fresh and Fresh America.

Jeff has served the industry throughout the years as a fellow of The United Fresh/Dupont Leadership Program Class 8 and the United Fresh Supply Chain and Logistics Council.  Jeff has also served his community in various volunteer roles such as the Board of Directors for the Freestore Foodbank, the Board of Directors of Higher Branches and the Middle Market Advisory Board of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.         

Jeff and his wife Megan will be relocating to the Kennett Square, PA area late October before his November 3rd start date with Country Fresh.
