Did you know that February is National Cherry Month? With numerous ongoing promotions, the Frutas de Chile Cherry Committee is giving shoppers many reasons to celebrate. From contests to online magazines, there’s something for everyone!
In case you’re wondering, National Cherry Month falls in February because it includes President’s Day, as well as the birthday of George Washington, who allegedly chopped down a cherry tree as a young boy. He admitted what he did to his father, who proclaimed that his son’s honesty was worth more than a thousand trees.
And speaking of thousands, consumers can win thousands of dollars with ongoing Chilean Cherry contests. The Cherry Committee just wrapped up a contest at the end of January and will run two more before mid-February. One to celebrate National Cherry Month and another for Valentine’s Day!
The Committee has also launched its first-ever online magazine, which is hosted at https://7776072e.flowpaper.com/2024FFCCherrieshighres/. The magazine includes numerous tips, nutrition information, and usage ideas that are manageable for even the novice chef. Consumers can flip through the magazine at their leisure, trying their hand at everything from Cherry Overnight Oats and Cherry Chocolate Brownies to Farro and Cherry Salad and Cherry Ricotta Toast. You really can’t go wrong!
